Heavy rains and flooding had washed out the mainline track running through the Feather River Canyon. Our excavators and dozers with winches responded to this emergency and were able to repair the grade and place the track back into position enabling trains to run again. |

JDI Responds to a BNSF Derailment
Sixteen railcars and six locomotives had derailed. During a two-day snow storm, JDI worked with a crew of 25 operators and groundsmen using specialized equipment (sidebooms, winch cats, and loaders) to clear the right of way and help rebuild the track. The final clean-up will be completed this Spring, with the railcar parts being recycled at the JDI Salvage Facility in Antelope, CA.

Feather River Canyon Emergency Response
JDI worked to clear the Union Pacific Railroad mainline of debris after 1,000 feet of canyon wall slid down covering the tracks. While addressing environmental concerns, the JDI crews worked continuously for 36 hours to restore the mainline track.

Complete reconstruction of the Corporation Yard in Roseville, CA,
the largest yard in the Western States. Project was completed in
2 1/2 years, on time and under budget. During the entire project
JDI maintained a 100% accident free safety rating.

Our CAT excavators have HyRail capabilities for ditching along tracks and right of ways. These excavators can be equipped with ditching carts for transporting ditched materials and also be configured with shoveling buckets. |

We can help clients with both transloading of their products and correcting shifted loads. Our transload supervisor has over 20 years experience working with the Railroads in these areas. We have forklifts, cranes, portable docks, vacuum machines and haul trucks to get the job done right. |
