Emergency Response to flood damage in Feather River Canyon, CA Heavy rains and flooding had washed out the mainline track running through the Feather River Canyon. Our excavators and dozers with winches responded to this emergency and were able to repair the grade and place the track back into position enabling trains to run again.

JDI Nears Completion of $2.2 Million Bridge Replacement Project for the Union Pacific Railroad

This work included replacing 50 bridge structures with culvert pipe and precast drop-in-bridges from Dunsmuir to Lakehead, CA. JDI again maintained a perfect safety record during the two year project.

Prime Contractor for the Union Pacific Railroad Corporation Project

Complete reconstruction of the Corporation Yard in Roseville, CA, the largest yard in the Western States. Project was completed in 2 1/2 years, on time and under budget. During the entire project JDI maintained a 100% accident free safety rating.

Sidebooms clearing right of way during BNSF derailment Our specialized equipment can be used for clearing the right of way by re-railing cars and locomotives or removing them from the site. Our crews are highly trained and with over 30 years of experience can respond to any derailment situation and get the tracks open, remove any product and clean up the site.

Union Pacific Railroad Control Tower demoliton in Roseville, CA We have equipment available for many types of demolition, including: excavators with metal shears, concrete hammers, concrete pulverizers, loaders, dozers and trucks for debris removal.

Ditching

320 BL Excavator with HyTracker Rail Cart Our CAT excavators have HyRail capabilities for ditching along tracks and right of ways. These excavators can be equipped with ditching carts for transporting ditched materials and also be configured with shoveling buckets.  
Transloading

Load of lumber shifted in transit; ready for transload We can help clients with both transloading of their products and correcting shifted loads. Our transload supervisor has over 20 years experience working with the Railroads in these areas. We have forklifts, cranes, portable docks, vacuum machines and haul trucks to get the job done right.

California State Certified public scale at the JDI Antelope Facility Scale can accommodate large commercial Semi Tractor/trailers as well as personal pick up trucks. We offer axle weights, moving weights, DMV certification, and certified or non-certified light or heavy weights.
